Apache Ignite Service Grid: Backbone of Your Microservices-based Solution
Whether it is a Microservices-based solution that is used under high load and processes rapidly growing volumes of data, or an application that does not use Microservices, both usually face the same issues:
- Data is still stored in disk-backed databases that can no longer keep up with growing volumes of data that has to be stored and processed in parallel. As a result, conventional databases are becoming a performance bottleneck affecting the overall solution or application.
- Times, when a solution's high-availability guarantee was a nice-to-have feature, is becoming a thing of the past. Today, high-availability of an application has become a de-facto requirement.
During this session, Denis will provide a step-by-step guide on how to build a fault-tolerant and scalable microservice-based solution using Apache Ignite's Service Grid and other components.
Denis is an expert in distributed systems and platforms who developed his skills by consistently contributing to Apache Ignite In-Memory Data Fabric and helping GridGain In-Memory Data Fabric customers build a distributed and fault-tolerant solution on top of their platform.
Before joining GridGain and becoming a part of Apache Ignite community, Denis worked for Oracle Inc. where he led Java ME Embedded Porting Team helping Java opening new boundaries by entering IoT market.
Currently, Denis takes the role of Product Manager in GridGain and PMC Chair in Apache Ignite, leading both products to an exciting future.
